Lost in Thought magazine

This month I've been keeping busy with a few projects. I'm working on sending out my first batch of postcards for children's publishers (which I will post soon) and illustrating pieces to go in my friend's magazine, Lost in Thought. This is for a short story called 'The Birthday Girl'...not a very happy story despite the name. There will be 2 more spot illustrations to go with it.

That's my attempt at this week's IF word :) I tried watercolor with illustration board and I like how vibrant the colors turned out. The background could use more work I think...
